EVSE Checker for uppladdning.nu

By Nikolay Shishkov • March 24, 2019

chargingEVSEEVSE Checker

Uppladdning.nu is a platform for charging infrastructure (mostly used in the Nordic countries), and one of the questions that often come up is what is the maximum available power from a particular outlet.

If you drive Tesla or one of the new Nissan Leafs it is hard to know what the outlet is providing.

To solve this problem we designed and produced an EVSE Checker.
This is a handle that is pluggable both in an Type 2 outlets (simulating a type 2 cable) or Type 2 cables (simulating an EV). When plugged and activated it shows the maximum available power from the outlet and whether the outlet provides single or 3 phase power.

The device you see in the photos is version 3.1.
An earlier version was used to test and identify problems in some older infrastructure, and produce an article in the Swedish magazine "Elbilen i Sverige" - article only available for subscribers.

We can manufacture such testers on order - lead time 10 days. Let me know if you are interested.
